Grimm: The Good Shepherd

The story of a wolf in sheep's clothing is an old one and told over and over. Grimm's version of the story was a good one, mainly because it allowed Monroe to go undercover. Gotta love Monroe whatever he's doing.

Observations:

I love that Bud so much wants to be Nick's friend and that he wants to tell him that he accidentally told Juliette about Nick being a Grimm.

The Juliette/amnesia plot line needs to be resolved soon. Something needs to happen between Juliette and Renard soon, and then she needs to remember Nick.

We learned a new "grimmabulary" word (I just made up a new word) in this episode. Reverend Calvin calls Hank a Kerseida (sp), someone who isn't a Wesen or a Grimm.

I love that Monroe gets excited about going undercover.

It's funny that Monroe says "Kerseida" means a "normal" person. Why would Monroe think that someone who isn't a Wesen is normal? Wouldn't he think that Wesen are the normal ones because he is one?

I love the shot of the silhouette of Monroe standing in the doorway of the church with his suitcase.

I liked the Reverend's bit about the monument in Spain commemorating Columbus. The words "Ne Plus Ultra" (no more beyond) are on the base and a lion reaches his paw out destroying the word "ne" (no). More beyond. I like it.

It was great when Monroe sees the digital clock and scoffs, "digital." And I love it when later he turns it face down.

It's funny that there's a picture of Reverend Calvin in the guest room. This man has a serious case of ego.

So, do Wesen recognize Nick as a Grimm when they get emotional, just as that's when Nick recognizes them as Wesen?

Do Nick's artistic abilities come from being a Grimm? He's pretty good, and those books written by other Grimms have really good illustrations.

How can Juliette resist that handsome face. Even if she doesn't remember him, can't she see how great she had it?

Oh Calvin, beware a ewe scorned.

It's funny when Monroe says to the herd of sheep, "Now, waaaait a minute." It sounds like he's baaaaing.

What is Harmony's baby going to be? A Weep? *wink* That will be interesting.

Are there any other "half-breed" Wesen? There has to be.

Quotes:

Reverend Calvin: This could be the beginning of a beatific relationship.

Hank [to Nick re: Monroe]: He doing it?
Nick: No.
Monroe: Okay. Don't we have lots to talk about.

Monroe: Any group with a herd mentality kind of wigs me out.

Reverend Calvin: Are you in trouble with the law?
Monroe: I'm in trouble with a lot of laws.

Nick: You okay?
Monroe: Freakin' herd mentality, man.
